Sean's Blog - Adventures 19

A few days ago, we woke up in the morning, I looked outside our window and I just remembered that we had to leave our spot and go back to ANTIGUA! (and when you say Antigua.. say it in a cute type of way). So we packed our stuff, we had a nice little breakfast and went downstairs and waited for the shuttle to come. Liam and I played Lava Boarders in the courtyard, where there is lava all around you and you have these boards that can go on lava and then you board around on lava. And then the bus arrived and we got our stuff and put it into the bus and then we got into the shuttle and drove off to Antigua. We drove and drove and drove and drove. I listened to my story "Rangers Apprentice - the Sorcerer of the North" and Liam was playing on the ipad and in the middle of my story I had a green apple for a snack. Now, I"m going to show you some pictures.

We were driving and driving and driving, until we stopped and had to switch buses and go through immigration and we had to wait for the next bus. And we were waiting for what seemed like hours until the bus came. We got in and drove off once more again. I was listening to my story again and half way through I fell asleep and we stopped once more again but we didn't have to switch buses. And when we started to drive off, it was pouring rain and the road was almost like a big river. We were driving and driving and driving and then we switched buses one more time and it was still pouring rain. And we even saw lightening. It could have blown up a house. With fire going everywhere. But even though I think the fire might have been put out by the rain. So we kept on driving until we got to Antigua and it was pitch black out and we got a tuk-tuk to take us to the Yellow House and then we went to sleep. We were so tired we couldn't even brush our teeth so we went to bed.

The next day, we woke up and went to Le Merced church and we did a little bit of climbing. Then we went to a monastery ruin and did a little bit of climbing around and pretended we were Gollum from Lord of the Rings. And then I scrapped myself and then I scrapped myself again. And I said to myself, "out of the pan and into the fire" .  And we were climbing around some more and we went into another  section of the place and it wasn't as much fun but still had some fun. And then we left and we went to the central square and when we were walking back we saw this other old monastery and there was a play going  on in it. More like an act. And one of the people that was doing the act put a ladder on his chin and I thought that was more than amazing. After we watched the act, we walked back to our Yellow House, got ready to have our shower and after that we came up to do a blog but Liam did his travel journal. And the blog I was talking to you about is the one you are reading right now.  And now, after that, I'm planning on going to relax in the hammock with Daddy.

"I can't believe he did that"
Antigua - check. Next to go, El Salvador. Antigua was my favourite spot in all of Guatemala, but in El Salvador there is going to be new things to see.
