Rendez-vous in Caye Caulker

There is such a sense of sadness that our time here in Caye Caulker is coming to an end. Mostly because our time here with good friends Tracey and Terry is ending. Tracey and Terry are spending their holidays here in Belize and we were able to meet up with them here for a few days. Being on the road for well over 250 days now, it was a real treat for us to see friends from home and to spend time in their company. We have never gone on vacation with friends before and I'm thinking this might be the start of something.. it's a lot of fun to hang out in fun, relaxed, carefree environment with good friends.. what a combo!

Snorkeling/Sailing trip with Terry & Tracey

Rum Punch time after a day of snorkeling

Morning Coffee
Sunset Bar at the Spit

But they are off to explore Belize's interior (and do some hiking and caving) and we are off to sail down the coast of Belize in a 50ft sailboat and do some "island hopping, snorkeling, and fishing". We'll gone for 3 days on the open water (but it's all within the barrier reef so the water should be fairly tranquil) with two nights camping on the islands! I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

Good Bye Caye Caulker!

  1. Hi - Glad to see things are still going smooth. I just caught up on your writing. We were at Disney for a week then went on a Disney cruise. It was amazing! I was really surprised. To my surprise Greg Grummet and Marty Lapoint were on the cruise. Greg and I hung out at the lagoons at the ports of call and had some good laughs. I was telling him about your trip. I will give him the blog address.

  2. It's a small world.. strange that you were on the same cruise! Glad you got some fun in the sun with the kids! Kerri
